What you will do:
Under minimal direction, supports sales, installation & commissioning of Industrial York Process Systems (YPS) Engineered Chiller offerings. The position will interface with YPS chiller design/contract engineering, product technical support, Engineered Controls System Group, Parts, and the field service and systems organizations.
How you will do it:
- Provide application, engineering, sales, and commissioning support for Industrial YPS Chiller projects.
- Compile notification packages for branches responsible for commissioning YPS chiller packages and assess skillsets within branches, assisting in locating additional support if necessary.
- Assist or direct commissioning of complex Industrial Process Systems chillers and Enhanced Control Panel Retrofit Projects to ensure they meet customer objectives and schedules.
- Provide technical and training support to branch field personnel on the commissioning of complex Industrial Process Systems and enhanced Control Panel Retrofit Projects.
- Establish procedures on a job-by-job basis to ensure timely completion and appropriate cost control for YPS chiller commissioning & control panel retrofit projects.
- Assist field sales in estimating Quantum Microprocessor & Programmable Automation Controllers (Allen Bradley) for Industrial YPS chillers and related products.
- Review drawing details and layouts to ensure proper installation for YPS Retrofit Projects.
- Assist the Engineered Controls Group (ECG) & Industrial Products Engineering (IPE) in performing Factory Acceptance Testing of PAC Panels.
- Lead scheduled project review/update discussions with internal and external customers.
- Provide and coordinate training to customers on the operation of process systems and enhanced panels/controls.
- When applicable, participate in the creation of technical literature for specific retrofit offerings.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned, including duties listed in quarterly and annual goal setting.
- Promote and adhere to JCI safety policies.
- Use standard JCI development processes and tools in performing tasks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Stay current with relevant engineering or design standards and practices.
What we look for:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Electronic Chiller Controls engineering or service/commissioning experience, or in absence of a degree, a minimum of fifteen years of service/commissioning experience.
- Fully competent in analysis and assessment of mechanical and electronic systems, effective leadership in team settings, with strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort in customer-facing situations.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $115,000-$170,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
