About the job

As an integral member of the Water, Industrial Flow and Heat Transfer Business Unit leadership team, the Commercial Manager – Industrial Flow will play a critical role in shaping and scaling Alfa Laval’s industrial flow growth strategy across North America. This role will lead the commercialization and market expansion efforts for industrial flow technologies while helping establish the channel, distributor, and partner ecosystem needed to support long-term growth and portfolio expansion.

This leader will be responsible for developing scalable go-to-market strategies, expanding channel partnerships, positioning evolving industrial offerings within the market, and driving profitable growth across industrial segments. The role requires a strong blend of commercial leadership, strategic thinking, channel development expertise, and experience navigating evolving industrial product portfolios.

This is a hybrid opportunity located in Houston, TX, Greenwood, IN, or Richmond, VA.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Develop and execute the North American commercial strategy for Industrial Flow technologies, translating market opportunities into scalable growth plans that support the WIFH business strategy.

  • Lead commercialization of new and evolving Industrial Flow technologies by developing go-to-market strategies, expanding market presence, and positioning solutions within the broader industrial portfolio.

  • Collaborate with global business teams to align regional growth strategies with broader business objectives and product roadmaps.

  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with distributors, OEMs, integrators, channel partners, and key customers to accelerate market penetration and long-term growth.

  • Partner across Sales, Applications Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Leadership to align commercial execution, optimize channel performance, and drive profitable growth.

  • Drive commercial excellence through strategic account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, market prioritization, and data-driven decision making.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the commercial team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you know:

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience, and:

  • Minimum of 10 years commercial leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, process equipment, flow technologies, pumps, mixers, heat transfer, or related industrial markets.

  • Experience leading and developing commercial teams.

  • Experience developing and managing distributor, channel, OEM, or integrator partner networks highly preferred.

  • Proven ability to commercialize new technologies or expanding product portfolios within a complex industrial environment.

  • Experience building scalable sales strategies and driving growth in evolving industrial markets.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market opportunities into actionable commercial strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, organizational change, and business transformation.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customer, partner, and business development activities.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The base salary for this role is typically $130,000 - $150,000 annually.
