JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to provide financial business partnering and strong controllership for the Mannheim factory, enabling in-year performance delivery, strategic site development, savings delivery, and operational excellence. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will provide fact-based insights, decision-making support, and financial leadership that help the site deliver its cost, waste, capex, transformation, and compliance agenda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver in-year financial performance for the Mannheim factory, including factory costs, waste, capex, forecasts, and annual business planning.
- Drive performance management through weekly cost governance and monthly performance cycles, ensuring clear visibility of risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Co-create and co-drive the site savings agenda with Operations, using industrial finance tools such as WCM/UMS cost deployment, ZBB, and benchmarking.
- Ensure robust site controllership and compliance with the Unilever control framework, including inventories, balance sheet, assets, and IFRS16-related controls.
- Lead month-end and controlling activities for the site and provide clear financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Support the ABC and transfer pricing processes led by the Supply Chain Finance Services team.
- Co-develop and manage the three-year master plan and budget planning process for the site.
- Co-lead the site transformation agenda, contributing financial insight and challenge to strategic projects.
- Act as a key business partner to the Site Director and Site Leadership Team, translating complex financial topics into clear recommendations and actions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- 3–5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in a business partnering, controlling, supply chain finance, or country finance environment.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage performance, forecasts, business plans, savings delivery, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in cross-functional and multi-stakeholder environments, with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Structured, detail-oriented working style with strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial topics into clear messages.
- English speaking skills are a must, German speaking skills preferable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Experience in Supply Chain Finance, factory finance, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with WCM/UMS cost deployment, ZBB, benchmarking, ABC, transfer pricing, or similar industrial finance tools and processes.
- FMCG experience is a bonus
