Key Responsibilities
Process & Productivity Improvement
· Analyse manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
· Conduct time studies, method studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
· Drive productivity improvement initiatives to meet efficiency, output, and cost targets.
· Support process standardization and documentation (SOPs, work instructions).
Manpower & Capacity Planning
· Perform manpower planning, direct/indirect ratio analysis, and workload balancing.
· Support headcount planning for new products, ramp-up, and layout changes.
· Monitor and report labour efficiency, utilization, and productivity KPIs.
Layout & Workflow Optimization
· Design and optimize production layout and material flow to improve safety, efficiency, and ergonomics.
· Support new line setup, equipment relocation, and plant expansion activities.
· Collaborate with Facilities & Manufacturing Engineering on space and layout planning.
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Collect, analyse, and present operational data for management review.
· Develop and maintain productivity dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
· Support cost analysis, improvement tracking, and ROI evaluations.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives
· Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.
· Participate in cross-functional improvement projects with Operations, Quality, ME, and Maintenance.
· Support problem-solving activities using structured methodologies (PDCA, Root Cause Analysis).
Support New Product Introduction (NPI)
· Support IE activities during NPI, including capacity assessment and process readiness.
· Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure smooth production ramp-up.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Experience
· 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing / industrial engineering (experience level adjustable).
· Hands-on experience in productivity improvement and manufacturing operations is preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills
· Strong knowledge of:
o Time study, line balancing, capacity planning
o Lean Manufacturing principles
o Productivity and efficiency metrics
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas, charts).
· Experience with dashboards, data tracking, or manufacturing KPIs is an advantage.
Soft Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
· Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
· Detail-oriented with a structured working mindset.
About the TeamSkills Required
