Job Description
Analyse production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as workflow, material handling, layout, and material handling vehicle utilisation
Conduct time and motion studies, develop standard operating procedures, and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collect and analyse data to measure and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)

Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to ensure optimal equipment utilisation and process efficiency
Participate in the development and implementation of new products and technologies, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout all manufacturing operations
Conduct root cause analysis on production inefficiencies and develop corrective action plans with measurable outcomes
Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation on process improvements, cost savings, and performance metrics for senior management review
Benchmark production processes against industry standards and best practices to identify competitive advantages
Train and mentor production staff on new procedures, lean methodologies, and operational best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimisation techniques
Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis software (e.g. Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD, Visio, SAP, VSM)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Six Sigma certification is preferred
