The Industrial Engineer will review design engineering drawings and bills of material (BoM) to define and develop standard installation processes that will vary in levels of complexity and integrate with multiple vehicle subsystems. This role will require a hands-on approach to engineering by working side-by-side with our technicians and collaborating with other departments such as Design, Testing, New Product and Quality. Joining this department will also provide opportunities for domestic and international travel to support our customers worldwide.
YOUR IMPACT:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned by your leader.
Develop, document, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, parts fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards
Calculate production TAKT times, staffing requirements, tooling, equipment and other related costs to assist management with planning and executing projects in a timely manner
Support more senior engineers in the preparation of production facilities, design improvements, work instruction development, issue resolution and status reporting
Responsible for leading a small project or part of a larger project of limited complexity
Provide technical support and assistance as the lead point of contact on assigned projects
Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines both internally and externally
Create and develop quality inspection documents, to include critical safety checks identified in PFMEA’s, to ensure the highest level of quality and safety in our products
Determine and propose process improvements to meet production levels, utilizing lean/six sigma principles and methodologies
Responsible for assisting with the creation & maintenance of departmental processes & procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
One (1) – two (2) or more years of experience.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
Analytical, critical thinking, attention to detail, communication and patterning skills to evaluate data and provide recommendations
Experience working within the heavy equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry
Experience in automotive assembly operations with application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel
Prior experience with CATIA, CreoView, AutoCAD and/or Windchill

Pay Range:
$73,200.00 - $117,800.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
