On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Factory Zero on a full-time basis.
The Role:
The Industrial Engineer will work directly with production in implementing lean manufacturing systems. They will analyze throughput data to help departments improve performance. They will be responsible to handle standardized work for future products alongside the core team and help to launch extraordinary products. In steady state, they will drive continuous improvement projects.
What You'll Do:
The main purpose of the Industrial Engineer is to work to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value. The position will develop, recommend, and implement changes which will result in the improvement of manufacturing processes and or product quality. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is critical to your success General Motors.

• Promote safe work practices and implement objectives for ergonomics, health, safety and housekeeping.
• Support line balance activities (current, new modules and engineering changes)
• Complete operation validations (cycle or full validation)
• Support Through-put Improvement activity to remove bottlenecks

Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
• Previous experience with a time study tool
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Must be shift flexible
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience working in a vehicle assembly plant
• Experience with AutoCAD
