Price Industries Inc. is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for its Noise Control manufacturing facility located in Suwanee Ga – Crestridge Dr. Plant. The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in developing and improving the manufacturing systems, workflows, and continuous improvement culture for our plant. This position is responsible for designing efficient production processes, optimizing material flow, implementing lean methodologies, and supporting operational readiness.

This position will work with all areas of manufacturing including the Design Engineering, Quality, Maintenance/Tooling, Purchasing and Production Control departments.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and improve current manufacturing and assembly processes for both new and existing products across the fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly operations

  • Identify and implement solutions for constraints or other factors to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve cycle time

  • Develop and implement standardized work procedures for manufacturing and assembly operations

  • Work with Design Engineering to support and drive Design For Manufacturability projects for existing product lines

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and operational efficiency – Lean, Kanban, CI, etc..

  • Conduct time studies and data analysis to establish accurate labor costs, capacity and standards

  • Identify machine and labor capacity across fabrication equipment such as press brakes, punch presses, welding, and paint operations.

  • Help develop and maintain manufacturing metrics to identify and establish performance expectations

  • Design and implement improved tooling & fixturing for fabrication and assembly areas.

  • Support existing production lines and work cells as needed.

  • Evaluate material flow through plant to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary wasted material, handling or movement

  • Identify, recommend and justify capital machines purchases and projects – ROI

  • Provide documentation support as required for manufacturing.

  • Play an active role in the training of Lean concepts to associates throughout the facility


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing-based engineering role.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support and implement project plans.

  • Understanding of principles and practices in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on process improvements and cost reduction.

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, capacity and to implement improvements – reduce labor and material cost

  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytic skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, or metal product manufacturing

  • Prior work in a team environment that utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools.

  • Ability to research and identify commercially available equipment and process solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of material and labor costing.

Skills Required
