About the role:

Hallmark is seeking an Industrial Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and improvement of distribution processes, systems, and workflows within our distribution centers. This role blends hands‑on industrial engineering with strategic thinking, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous improvement to drive meaningful business impact. This position is located onsite full‑time at Hallmark’s Liberty Distribution Center in Liberty, MO. Relocation assistance is not provided.
THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER WILL:
- Lead industrial engineering efforts focused on improving distribution processes, systems, and workflows from concept through implementation.
- Develop labor standards, capacity models, and cost estimates to support business cases, capital planning, and operational decisions.
- Analyze current‑state processes and design future‑state solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, flow, and cost performance.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and problem‑solving tools to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain standard work, process documentation, layouts, and supporting technical materials.
- Support production and quality teams by troubleshooting and resolving process‑, flow‑, and system‑related issues.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, engineering, vendors, and customers to meet project timelines and milestones.
- Identify, evaluate, and help implement innovative methods, technologies, and best practices that advance Hallmark’s distribution capabilities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, or comparable)
- Previous experience in a Distribution environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and collaborate effectively across functions
- Strong background in Lean/continuous improvement and process optimization
- Experience with WMS, layout design, and material handling systems
- Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies
- Project management experience leading process or system improvements
- Excel (advanced), SQL / Python, Visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
