Summary: This is a support role, assisting the Medicare and Individual Insurance teams with basic administrative and other support functions in the team's day-to-day servicing of clients and preparation for the annual election period. The Intern will gather and input data into spreadsheets and upload to the CRM, maintain data integrity for newly onboarded books of business, assist with the development of AI enabled workflows and participate in special projects and training with the team that will assist in their learning and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Support and Communication:
- Assist in coordinating client mailings, communications or packets related to Open Enrollment, as directed by Manager.
- Assist Account Managers with implementation of new business, new carriers and new workflows.
- May assist team in preparation for client meetings.
- Data Compilation and Analysis:
- Learn to compile data for the team to use in mailings and plan communications, may assist in preparing prescription drug analysis
- Assist in research of questions regarding benefits and vendor/carrier products and services.
- Create and maintain a calendar, to ensure completion of pending items and future deliverables.
- Document and File Management:
- Create and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures.
- Create and maintain files and client data; maintain client data in AgencyBloc, as directed by Manager; assemble enrollment materials for clients.
- Assist Teams in their preparation for client meetings ensuring appropriate plan material is organized and available and client specific information is ready for analysis.
- Policy Review and Problem Resolution:
- Learn to do basic policy review; will gain understanding of basic industry concepts, and carrier products and services.
- Assist with problem resolution on claims, billing and eligibility issues with carriers.
- Administrative Support and Learning:
- Participate in training regarding carrier products and systems
- Learn some proficiency MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs
- Effective time management and decision-making skills
- Diligent follow up skills
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
Education and/or Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Junior or Senior level in college preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registration: License is not required at this level.

The base salary range for this position is $18 to $24 per hour. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
