We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative tax professional to join our growing Tax and Statutory Reporting Team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will support indirect tax compliance and reporting activities across multiple markets in Asia while helping drive process improvements, automation, and operational excellence.

As an Indirect Tax Accountant within our Tax and Statutory Reporting Team, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality indirect tax operations, strengthen compliance frameworks, and help shape more efficient and automated finance processes across Asia.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare, reconcile, and submit indirect tax returns in compliance with local regulations across multiple Asia markets
- Review indirect tax transactions and postings in SAP, identify discrepancies, and support timely resolution of issues
- Partner with business and finance stakeholders to provide guidance on GST and indirect tax matters
- Support tax audits by preparing reconciliations, calculations, and required supporting documentation
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX and internal governance requirements
- Contribute to process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives aligned with the SBS core model
- Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation and support implementation into operational processes
- Experience in indirect tax compliance, reporting, or advisory within a multinational or shared services environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems for tax reporting and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting activities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and regional stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
