Job Description SummaryAt Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).
Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensure ng internal customer satisfaction. Have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. A job at this level is likely to be performed with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers; negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement; manage claims
• Commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
• Drive initiatives for deflation/inflation mitigation, aimed at helping and offsetting pressure on costs
• Purchasing activities
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field
• May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements
• Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues
• The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.)
• Use some judgment and can propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems
• Prioritize information for data analysis, use technical experience and analytical thinking
• Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
• This role requires strong experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management
• English fluent knowledge
• Czech knowledge would be considered a plus
• Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
