Originates, underwrites, services, and collects indirect auto loans through dealer relationships. Manages loan documentation, analyzes applicants' creditworthiness, negotiates loan terms, approves loans within authority, refers larger requests to Loan Committee, and supports customers and colleagues to maximize portfolio performance and minimize risk.

- Represent the Bank to the customer in a courteous and professional manner. Furnish prompt, efficient, and accurate service.
- Build relationships with auto dealers to increase loan volume for the Indirect Department
- Keep up with the auto industry changes and make sure City Bank stays competitive in the Indirect market
- Underwrite Indirect loan applications sent in by auto dealerships
- Collect on past due Indirect loan accounts
- Service and maintenance Indirect loans
- Customer support of Indirect loans
- Assist Indirect Lending Doc Prep to help expedite the funding process on Indirect loans
- Give attention to detail and provide excellent communication skills.
- Maintain work area in a clean, neat, and professional environment.
- Participate in training sessions as required by supervisor.
- Interview loan applicants to obtain and analyze financial and other relevant information in order to determine the creditworthiness of each applicant and the merit of the individual request.
- Establish and negotiate terms under which credit will extended, including costs, repayment methods and collateral requirements.
- Collect and analyze interim information on outstanding loans under servicing responsibility.
- Collect accounts with an acceptable level of past dues.
- Visit customer businesses for inspection of plant facilities.
- Advise customers, when appropriate, on business management or financial affairs.
- Serve as contact for customers of non-loan related services.
- Develop customer base through an active solicitation of prospective and existing clients with an emphasis on selling bank products.
- Approve loans utilizing individual lending authority as provided in loan policy.
- Develop material for and make recommendations to Loan Committee on requests above individual authority requiring Committee approval.
- Counsel with and assist in the training and development of other loan officers as requested.
- Provide input to officers on loan requests as to credit quality, structure and pricing.
- Maintain active interest in local and national affairs which could have an impact on lending activities.
- Maintain involvement in civic and community activities, representing the Bank in a favorable manner.
