Job Summary:
The Corporate Sustainability Coordinator will play a key role in supporting Helmerich & Payne’s sustainability tasks and responsibilities. This position reports to the Corporate Sustainability Principal and collaborates with cross functional teams across the organization to assist in sustainability strategy development, data collection, analysis, reporting, and another critical task. The Analyst will support the implementation of sustainability programs, contribute to the Company’s sustainability report, and assist with maintaining compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
Responsibilities: The following items represent the essential functions and accountabilities for this position.
Demonstrate the H&P Company values.
Assist with the collection, organization, and analysis of non-financial data to ensure accuracy and reliability for reporting purposes.
Support the quarterly and annual accounting processes for sustainability-related metrics, including emissions and other key performance indicators.
Provide administrative support for sustainability software (Sphera), including data entry, unit conversions, and reporting functions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather qualitative and quantitative information for sustainability initiatives.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Company’s sustainability report and related disclosures.
Aid in responding to customer inquiries and requests related to the Company’s sustainability.
Conduct research on sustainability trends, best practices, and peer benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor and support compliance with sustainability standards and frameworks such as SASB and TCFD.
You will be working with both internal and external teams like:
Internal – various leaders and members of several departments within H&P including HR (Org Development), Operations, HSE, Supply Chain, Accounting, Internal Audit, and Legal.
External – potential engagement and involvement with sustainability raters, investors, customers, and industry associations.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, or a related field preferred.
Microsoft suite of applications and ability to learn 3rd party Sustainability accounting software (Sphera).
Knowledge of sustainability metrics, including energy, volume, distance, emissions units and their relationship with each other.
Familiarity with accounting practices and controls is preferred.
Experience working with sustainability reporting and disclosures is preferred.
Strong data collection and analysis skills.
Proven ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to drive organizational outcomes.
Strong organization skills, ability to coordinate and drive results across the organization.
Detailed and task-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
