POSITION OVERIEW:

We are seeking an individual to join the Incubation & Product Innovation department focusing on fragrance development and technical support. In this key role, the individual will support fragrance ancillary development for several core Maesa brands across a variety of product formats and categories. 

The ideal candidate has a passion for fragrance and product, maintains a high level of organization, demonstrates strong communication skills, thrives in high-paced environments, and loves the details of a project. The ability to function within deadlines while working both independently and as a part of a team is essential for success. This role will work closely and collaborate with cross functional team members to see projects through from ideation to launch.

PAY RANGE: 

$60,000/yr - $70,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Including but not limited to: 

  • Supporting ancillary fragrance development & technical support for all Maesa brands
  • Cross-functional liaison for all fragrance development needs between R&D, Project Management, Quality, Purchasing
  • Maintain upkeep of standards, fragrance house submissions and lab submissions, lead distribution of samples to internal and external team members
  • Support approval process of oil and formula production batches
  • Creation of internal codes for product BOM purposes 
  • Creation and implementation of internal fragrance development templates
  • Tracking & communication of stability status of fragrances at fragrance houses and fillers for fragrance formulas including on site review
  • Support fragrance library creation, organization and management
  • Attend team meetings to provide fragrance development updates

EXTERNAL 

  • Key point of communication with fragrance houses, track status & follow ups with each house 
  • Organize smell sessions and trend presentations for the I&I department 
  • Manage and track open briefs/projects with detailed trackers  
  • Support with technical troubleshooting with FH and vendors  
  • Manage fragrance stability at FH and vendors 

QUALIICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Have a passion for and a genuine LOVE for fragrance  
  • Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude
  • Organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and capable of prioritizing & juggling multiple projects at once to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Creative & Strategic thinker with proactive mentality
  • Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in fragrance category with other experience from personal care or other beauty categories a bonus. 
  • Must be team player role works closely with cross-functional teams on daily basis 
  • organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and capable of prioritizing & juggling multiple projects at once to meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive approach to projects. Always thinking ahead, showing initiative, problem solving and follow-through
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and open to change
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills, experience, and comfort with presenting to team 
  • Previous olfactive training is a plus
