Job DescriptionThe Income Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all hotel revenue by auditing daily transactions, reconciling revenue reports, and verifying compliance with internal controls and hotel policies. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding hotel assets and supporting accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and verify daily revenue reports from all revenue centers (Rooms, F&B, Spa, Retail, etc.)
- Reconcile PMS, POS, and other system reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue
- Review and validate cashier summaries, postings, allowances, discounts, voids, and corrections
- Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all revenue adjustments
- Prepare daily revenue summaries and discrepancy reports for Finance and Management
- Follow up promptly on variances, irregularities, or control breaches
- Maintain accurate filing and audit trails for financial records
- Support month-end closing and external/internal audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, internal controls, and accounting standards
- Assist with continuous improvement of revenue control processes
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel finance or income audit (hospitality experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue streams and internal controls
- Hands-on experience with PMS and POS systems (e.g., Opera, MICROS, or similar)
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
- Willingness to work night shifts or early morning hours, if required
