Job Description

The Inbound Ops Leader will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inbound logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to support manufacturing and supply chain objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of inbound operations personnel, including hiring, training, performance management, and development.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inbound material flow, reduce lead times, and improve inventory accuracy.

  • Oversee the receiving, inspection, and put-away processes for all incoming raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

  • Manage warehouse space utilization, layout, and organization to maximize efficiency and safety.

  • Collaborate with procurement, planning, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely material availability and resolve supply chain issues.

  • Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within inbound operations, utilizing lean principles and data analysis to identify and address bottlenecks.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards within the inbound operations function.

  • Manage relationships with external logistics providers and carriers to optimize inbound transportation.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound operations, regularly reporting on performance and progress.

  • Identify and implement new technologies and systems to enhance inbound operational efficiency.

Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inbound logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain management, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and implement lean methodologies.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
