Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives incoming calls and emails from prospects and external recruiters for potential RJ Advisors.
- Determines qualifications for each business model.
- Determines the appropriate business model to make referrals.
- Logs results into RJ Advisor Recruiting (ARC) database for the recruiter/manager.
- Receives scheduled call in requests.
- Receives incoming requests for information/Web Leads.
- Identify protected inbound referrals where follow-up is required.
- Send External Recruiter Rebound Referrals, Re-heat Referrals, Rebound Referrals, and Cross Referrals.
- Set meetings for recruiters/managers.
- Identifies expired inbound and outbound referrals, sends Home office Referrals to Outbound Consultants.
- Cultivates relationships with external recruiters.
- Cultivates relationship with recruiters/branch managers.
- Promotes Referral Rewards.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of
- Concepts, practices and procedures of business development in a financial services environment.
- Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
- Principles of finance and securities industry operations.
- Financial markets and products.
Skill in
- Sourcing and developing sales prospects.
- Developing business development strategies.
- Maintaining and expanding referral sources.
- Answering inbound sales calls and turning them into sales opportunities.
- Maintaining relationships with external recruiters.
- Effective questioning and listening techniques.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.

- Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.
- Research, interpret, analyze and apply information about prospects.
- Organize, prioritize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university with one (1) year experience in business development or sales within the financial services industry.
- OR ~
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
