Job Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Provides analytical support to the global Investigator Management Solutions department. Completes internal and external analytical reporting and data mining activities. Works with internal and external teams to ensure all reporting is submitted timely and accurately. Ensures compliance of department SOX controls. Supports company Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) management activities by identifying studies that need to be invoiced. Tracks and measures department performance metrics. Reconciles balances monthly on projects where Investigator Grants are managed. Provides functional guidance and keeps internal and external team members aware of reporting and data issues.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes internal and external reporting to assist with sponsor requests
- Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly department metrics reports for internal customers
- Provides assistance with department and company process improvement initiatives
- Performs data mining activities to validate data accuracy and calculate impact to budgets
- Collaborates with multiple departments to gather required data for global reporting needs
- Supports global reporting requirements as they are developed and requested
- Ensures department stays in compliance of all Sarbanes Oxley controls
- Prepares monthly project reconciliations with data from multiple company systems
- Ensures advance funding is received from sponsors before site payments are processed
- Performs quality assurance checks on system data to ensure proper functionality
- Provides analytical support to project teams and department members
- Works with sponsor systems and applications as required by the project
- Updates department SharePoint site and internal trackers
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting or Finance plus moderate finance, research and data mining experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or Pharmaceutical experience required
- +5 years of experience in managing budgets and reports in CRO/pharma environment is required
- Strong proficiency in using Excel for spreadsheet analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), email, and voicemail.
- Oracle experience preferred.
- Foreign language proficiency preferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach
