Core Responsibilities:
The Improvement Lab Technologist works with the local improvement technician, improvement engineers and production teams to improve productivity, increase quality, reduce waste, introduce new products and processes, and support Environment, Health and Safety and process safety projects. This role also performs and coordinates lab experiments and trials and follows Lab work process (ex. Management of Change, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, etc.).
Responsibility:
- Strictly abide by the company's safety regulations, operating disciplines and procedures
- Assisting the local improvement team in identifying key measures using plant performance data analysis
- Partnering with plant operation personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions
- Updating key plant and tech center people on daily progress of key lab and plant trials and lab development work
- Helping improvement team and plant to identify plant improvements that are aligned to the Business technology implementation Plan objectives
- Validating improvement opportunities using lab experimentation and supporting plant trials
- Assisting the local Improvement team in collection and analysis of improvement project data
- Implementing lab trials to provide scale up data for new product transfers
- Providing data to validate projects delivers performance objectives after implementation
- Assisting in documenting reports on new product trial, troubleshooting and improvement
- Operating lab work in full compliance with local and site EHS requirements and maintaining lab facilities in clean and efficient working order
- Provides technical expertise in a technology area to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry related
- At least five years’ relevant working experience in manufacturing, R&D(Research & Development), or process development
- Good communication, interpersonal and team working skills
- Good verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to read and understand technical documents, standards, and procedures written in English. And participate in global technical meetings and communicate with international teams in English.
