Import Export Specialist

We are currently seeking an Import Export Specialist to join our diverse and dynamic team. As an Import Export Specialist at ICON, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and efficiency in international trade operations. You will manage the logistics of import and export activities, facilitating the movement of goods while adhering to regulatory requirements.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Coordinates import & export of shipments including rare materials with analysis of the risks and finding solutions to non-standard cases.

• Communicates directly with the RA officers to provide additional documents and responses to queries, including those of a more complex or difficult nature.

• Designs tailored reports in accordance with the individual needs of the Client and sets up their timely provision to the key stakeholders.

• Coordinates adjustment of the import & export strategy for the ongoing studies to achieve greater efficiencies and mitigate risks.

• Collaborates with the customs brokers to produce solutions of a more complex nature to reduce the timelines of import or export operations within a study.

• Makes deep analysis of the changes in the import & export regulatory environment to clarify their implications for ICON operations and comes up with the risk mitigation plans.

• Takes active part in review and investigation of cases of potential or confirmed noncompliance.

• Provides assistance to the colleagues at the junior position. Assists with onboarding and training of the newcomers.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, international business, logistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in import/export in Spain and EMEA region, coordination or logistics, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and compliance.
  • Proficient in import/export documentation and processes, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Good level of English language.
