Sanhua Mexico Investment is a platform company and provides all services to other manufacturing BUs in Mexico, including but not limited to warehouse and logistics, accounting and finance, treasury, taxes, FX management and property management.
We are actively looking for a Import Export Manager to lead in the international trade area, providing solutions to conflicts and / or daily situations that arise in the import and export operation as well as in matters concerning IMMEX, PROSEC, CIVA, or another legal compliance and new projects including new certifications, regulatory compliance legal foreign trade, or processes to improve the operation in the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in English languaje is essential
- University Degree in International Relations, International Trade, Foreign Relations or Administration.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the Import - Export department in similar positions.
- Advanced knowledge about Anexo 24 and 30.
- Advanced knowledge about USMCA regulation and requirement.
- Knowledge about VUCEM and International Trade Compliance.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES
- Certification Management: Oversee the application, renewal, and maintenance of the IMMEX (Maquiladora) certification/Prosec and any other certification for company in Mexico. Ensure that all activities under the IMMEX program align with the regulatory framework, including inventory control (Anex 24 y 30), machine management under IMMEX, documentation, and reporting obligations.
- Supervise Import and Export operation: Collaborate with the customs team to ensure accurate and timely completion of customs documentation for both imports and exports. Verify that all required documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, complies with regulatory standards. Supervise and monitor customs operation to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the team.
- Tariff Classification: Work closely with customs brokers to conduct tariff classification assessments for products to determine the correct Harmonized System (HS) code for customs declaration. And relevant authorities to resolve any discrepancies or challenges related to tariff classifications.
- Management and Training: Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance with trade regulations. Coordinate and participate in regular internal audits to assess compliance levels and address any identified gaps. Conduct regular training sessions for employees involved in international trade activities, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to compliance standards. Keep the team updated on changes in regulations and provide guidance on best practices for compliance.
- Country of origin or USMCA analysis: has fully knowledge of the USMCA regulation and requirement, carry out or supervise analysis for new project and annually update for USMCA certification analysis for export operations.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers in both Mexico and China, negotiating favorable terms and conditions. Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, conducting regular assessments to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Communication and Coordination: Facilitate clear and effective communication with team in other country,.Coordinate with internal teams to address any issues related to international shipments, customs clearance, and transportation.
- Cost Analysis and Budgeting:Conduct regular cost analyses related to international trade activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Assist in the development and management of budgets related to international trade operations.
