Your Team's Impact

In this team you will be working with our sophisticated Reporting solutions. You will be the essential link between investment professionals and FactSet’s software. Combining a thorough understanding of finance and technology with specific expertise in FactSet software, consultants help clients streamline their reporting process. As part of this fantastic team, you will offer an unparalleled level of service along with insight into the intricacies and functionality of FactSet applications.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for automating a client environment, designing complex workflows, covering the full flow of financial data in our software – data loads, data checks, calculations, data extracts and reporting.
  • Become an expert in our Reporting solutions, learn all the functionalities of the product, including the different modules and methodologies with focus on its technical aspects such as: System Architecture, Application Server setup, Database and SQL tuning, Web Services.
  • Partner with clients and colleagues to gather business requirements.
  • Translate requirements into solutions.
  • Partner with our data integration teams to extract, transform, and load client and third-party data for use in FactSet.
  • Develop high-quality workflows for our clients that are scalable, supportable, and exceed our clients’ expectations.
  • Communicate progress to clients and provide transparency on progress to your colleagues
  • Perform QA checks on your outputs to ensure we provide solutions that are of high quality
  • Document solutions to ensure supportability.
  • Partner with Product Development to turn client feedback into product features, where feasible.
  • Analyze and solve complex technical issues related to a client’s technical architecture, processing data, conducting specific investigations, including software testing.
  • Help integrate our different systems within a common platform using APIs, Web Services and different automation, scheduling and monitoring tools. This can involve the use of programming, scripting, database languages.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Mathematics.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a relevant field
  • SQL and Database experience
  • Sysadmin, experience in programming or scripting languages e.g. shell, Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, VBA, etc.
  • Good communication skills in client-facing situations

Desired Skills

  • Any experience in Financial Reporting or Reporting or Business Intelligence Systems
  • Technical skills with financial software applications
  • Understanding of relational databases, systems design and data management is plus
  • Experience of working on UNIX and/or Windows server is an advantage is a plus
  • Knowledge of ETLs is a plus
  • Linux/Windows System Administration, Networking, Virtual Machines and shell scripting
  • Application server setup (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly)
  • Enthusiastic with a keen sense of initiative and a desire to take ownership
