Position Overview:

The Implementation Specialist I role is primarily responsible for developing and implementing course content. The position will work within cross-functional project teams to build and deliver innovative print and/or digital course materials for the professional and higher education markets. The Implementation Specialist may work with proprietary course builder software, established content development software, content management systems and learning management systems. Utilizing templates, guidelines, and established processes, this role will work across product lines in a matrixed, deadline-driven environment to produce innovation and engaging material for our students. This position may also contribute to the support and maintenance requests to meet the team’s required service level contracts with clients.

What You'll Do

  • Develops and updates course content materials according to the specifications, standards, and guidelines of the project with oversight from a senior level position.
  • Formats content per project design specifications. 
  • Maintains course and academic content in established storage systems and databases using Institutional protocols, processes and procedures.
  • Effectively operates in a team environment, collaborating with Course Development team members during course development. 
  • May prepare PDF files and deliverables for print vendors, internal stakeholders, and partners as needed. 
  • Actively participates on project teams in assisting with planning, scheduling, and problem solving.
  • Effectively utilizes appropriate technology such as authoring tools, production software, content management system, digital asset system, learning management system and other technical tools/software applications used within the organization as required. 
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced education environment with technical experience or related field (e.g. publishing, graphic/multimedia) is preferred. 
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office and/or Adobe Creative Suites preferred
  • Working knowledge of HTML, web page layout, authoring tools, web technologies and graphic design a plus for some positions preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and team environment as an individual contributor and as a member of the team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and manage priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies and adapt processes for continuous improvement.
