About the Role:
Planful is looking for an Implementation Consultant with strong technical aptitude and a passion for working with customers throughout the deployment process. Reporting to the AVP, Customer Experience India, you will take ownership of the application configuration, testing, knowledge transfer, and rollout activities. This role requires someone who thrives in a team environment but is also a resourceful and independent self-starter.
The role will involve frequent collaboration with global customers and internal teams to ensure successful implementation of the Planful Financial Performance Management (FPM) Suite. You will also play a pivotal role in customer success by delivering best practices and driving customer satisfaction from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Implement Planful Financial Performance Management (FPM) Suite: Lead the deployment and configuration of Planful’s FP&A solutions for global clients, with an emphasis on North America and EMEA-based customers. Fluent English and impeccable verbal communication skills are essential to the success of this cross-functional role.
- Business Process Translation & Best Practices: Advise customers on best practices and translate their existing FP&A processes into effective solutions within the Planful platform.
- Methodology Development & Adherence: Adhere to and contribute to the development of Planful’s Services methodology to ensure successful, repeatable implementations.
- Knowledge Transfer & Training: Lead customer and partner training sessions, ensuring users are equipped to fully leverage Planful's capabilities.
- Project & Services Metrics: Drive project efficiency and contribute to key metrics, including project timelines, Services team margins, and overall customer success.
- Sales Support & POCs: Partner with the sales team to assist with scoping, pre-sales activities, and proof-of-concept (POC) projects to demonstrate Planful’s value to potential clients.
- Global Impact and availability: Ability to partner with customers across global time zones with an emphasis on EMEA and North America-based clientele. There is the potential for regular shift-based work scheduling, committing availability to North America-based customer working hours.
What You Bring to the Table
- Consulting Experience: Prior experience in a consulting role, with strong knowledge of FP&A, accounting, or related financial processes.
- Technical & Financial Expertise: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance is preferred, or the equivalent of 3 years of experience in an accounting/finance-related role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior-level executives and finance teams intercultural.
- Adaptability & Collaboration: Proven ability to work well with diverse project teams and adapt to evolving customer needs in a high-growth environment.
- Consultative Approach: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver “consultative no” discussions when necessary, helping customers make informed decisions.
- Quick Learner: Ability to quickly ramp up on new products and methodologies, especially in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Industry Experience: Experience at a software company, Big 4 firm, or large global systems integrator (GSI) is preferred, though not required.
- Self-motivated learner: Demonstrates a strong desire to continuously expand their knowledge and skills, proactively seeking out new information about our software and industry.
