Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer with expertise in Switching Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end support for our production environment, ensuring smooth operation of payment systems and transaction switches. This includes troubleshooting, monitoring, incident resolution, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Production Support:
o Provide 24/7 support for all Switch-related production environments, including transaction switching systems and related applications.
o Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues related to transaction switching, card payment systems, or banking network integrations.
o Investigate, analyse, and resolve issues in real-time to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning:
o Continuously monitor the performance of Switch systems and ensure high availability and stability.
o Analyze logs, transaction records, and system alerts to proactively identify issues before they impact production.
• Incident Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for critical production incidents and escalate to appropriate teams if needed.
o Manage incident resolution using standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Deployment & Maintenance:
o Assist in deploying updates, patches, and fixes to production systems.
o Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth implementation of new releases or features.
• Documentation & Reporting:
o Create and maintain operational documentation for the Switch environment, including troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and incident reports.
o Provide regular reports on system performance, incident trends, and service uptime.
• Collaboration:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Network, and Infrastructure teams, to ensure seamless operation of the switching systems.
o Participate in root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews for major incidents.
• Compliance & Security:
o Ensure that all activities are in compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS).
o Follow security best practices to safeguard payment systems and sensitive customer data.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience in Postilion Switch.
• Knowledge of Position Realtime switch and office switch in card payments industry.
• Familiar with ISO8583/Transactions flows and HSM and other EFT Formats.
• Good knowledge on support Postilion Realtime, Office, and Postcard components.
• Experience in production support, specifically in payment switching or financial services (e.g., EMV, card transactions, and EFT systems).
• Hands-on experience with transaction switch platforms such as ACI, Postilion.
• Strong knowledge of payment protocols (ISO 8583, HSM, etc.) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.).
• Proficiency in SQL and database management (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server).
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Flexible working hours due to the nature of the support (may include night shifts or weekend rotations).
