The Imaging Technologist I within Franciscan Health is responsible for performing radiographic procedures and ionizing radiation to render optimum images and assist in the diagnosis process. This position conducts preliminary analysis on images, and collaborates with doctors and other Healthcare professionals to interpret images. The Imaging Technologist I is required to be qualified to care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm
Gather information on patients' illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy. Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and answer patient questions. Ensure patients are not exposed to excessive amounts of radiation.
Position the patient and equipment correctly to produce results with the best quality. Operate machine properly in order to produce clear imaging results of a patient's body. Observe the equipment to make sure that it is working properly. Adjusting dials to make sure the machine is set at the proper voltage and radiation levels.
Take X-rays of patient's tissue, organs and bones to evaluate for possible injury or illness.
Write detailed reports about the patient's behavior or any machine malfunctions.
Clean, maintain, and restock inventory in examination rooms.
Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
Assist with ACR, HFAP, ISBOH, IDPH, and IEMA.
QUALIFICATIONS
Radiology Certificate required
Associate's Degree preferred
Radiology Student Permit OR Indiana Radiology License required
ARRT-R certification required within 1 year of hire
