The Design internship program is a long-lasting platform for us to secure future talents and grow our design competence.
We offer two rounds of 5-month internship program every year, and now we are looking for candidates to the Spring round in 2025, running from September 1 2025 to January 31 2026, based in Älmhult, Sweden
Qualifications
- We are looking for candidates to the IKEA Design internship program that:
- Have had at least three years of design education (Bachelor)
- Are able to carry out a project from concept to finished drawing
- Have a solid foundation in using computer in your design (we use the following software: SolidWorks, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
- Do not have your own (active) company during the internship period
- Are willing to relocate to Älmhult, Sweden during the internship program
- Are fluent in English

We offer you:
• Mentorship from experienced IKEA in-house designers
• 5-month temporary employment as intern, based in Älmhult Sweden
• Monthly pay at 21500 SEK (gross amount and taxed according to Swedish tax)
• IKEA will also provide a furnished apartment in Älmhult during the internship period (optional, which counts as a taxable benefit)
Since this is an internship for 5 month we will not be able to sponsor a work permit. But we welcome applicants with valid work permit/visa for EU.
