About the role.
The Project Finance Controller for Greenfield plant is a key financial role responsible for the planning, monitoring, and controlling of capital expenditures across the project. This position plays a pivotal part in supporting the large strategic project, ensuring the investment is aligned with business objectives, and the project is executed within budget and compliance guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in capital project finance, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing.
- Oversee the financial management of IGF capital expenditure (Capex), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and investment strategies.
- Partner closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, and other stakeholders to develop, review, and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
- Track and report on Capex spend, commitments, and variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with internal policies and external regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports, dashboards, and analysis related to project performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the development of business cases and investment proposals for new strategic initiatives, including scenario analysis and ROI calculations.
- Lead or participate in project reviews, audits, and post-investment appraisals to ensure continuous improvement and value realization.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with capital projects, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of project governance frameworks, financial policies, and best practices.
- Drive the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making capabilities.
- Champion digital transformation in finance, leveraging advanced analytics and automation to improve forecasting and reporting accuracy.
- Support sustainability initiatives by integrating relevant metrics into capital project evaluation and reporting.
- Mentor junior finance staff and non-finance team members to promote financial literacy across the project team.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance, proactively identifying and mitigating risks of fraud or financial misstatement.

What you'll need to be successful.
- Should be a Qualified CA with minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, with a strong focus on capital expenditure and project finance, preferably within large organizations or industries such as manufacturing, infrastructure, or energy.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large strategic projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and ERP/project management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
