About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Ping Identity DevOps Tech Lead to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions. This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of IAM platforms leveraging the Ping Identity suite, driving DevOps best practices, and ensuring secure, scalable authentication and authorization services across cloud and on-premise environments.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead the design, deployment, and operational management of Ping Identity solutions, including PingFederate, PingDirectory, and PingOne Verify
  • Drive DevOps adoption for IAM platforms, focusing on automation, scalability, and high availability
  • Architect, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
  • Manage deployments and operations across AWS cloud infrastructure, including IAM services and integrations
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes-based deployments for IAM workloads, ensuring secure access control in containerized environments
  • Design and support SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML integrations for both enterprise and customer-facing applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build CIAM solutions that enhance both customer experience and security
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IAM/DevOps team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical (P1) production incidents in alignment with ITSM processes and SLAs
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring
  • Design and integrate APIs for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management
  • Ensure adherence to security standards and IAM best practices
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of IT experience, with a strong focus on IAM/CIAM and DevOps, including experience in a technical leadership role
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with:
    • PingFederate
    • PingDirectory
    • PingOne Verify
  • Proven experience implementing DevOps practices within IAM platforms
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
    • CI/CD pipeline development
    • GitLab (mandatory)
    • Infrastructure automation and optimization
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly IAM-related deployments and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for managing secure access in hybrid and on-premise environments
  • Strong exposure to CIAM use cases and customer-facing identity solutions
  • Experience with SSO integrations and access management APIs
  • Proficiency in Java development and scripting languages (Shell/Python)
  • Demonstrated experience in automation frameworks and tools
  • Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols:
    • OAuth 2.0
    • OpenID Connect
    • SAML
  • Experience working within ITSM frameworks (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have (Preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with PingOne Verify implementations
  • Exposure to Zero Trust architecture concepts and implementations
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards such as NIST, GDPR, or ISO 27001
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based DevOps environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, or Prometheus
  • Relevant certifications in Ping Identity, AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps tools
