Identity and Access Management Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to join our IT team to implement, and manage identity and access management solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Okta, with a strong understanding of user authentication, access control, and security best practices. This role is critical in ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems, and the seamless integration of applications with Okta’s services. 

In this role you will:

• Deploy and manage single sign-on (SSO) solutions using protocols like SAML, Oauth, OpenID Connect and multi-factor authentication (MFA) across the organization.

• Design and implement automated workflows and SCIM based user provisioning, de-provisioning to automate management of user identities.

• Develop and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) for smooth onboarding/offboarding and access review.

• Collaborate with application owners to integrate internal and third-party applications for centralized access control.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation on processes, configurations, and access controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in Okta or any related IdP solutions e.g Ping Identity, OneLogin, Microsoft (and other SSO tools): Proven experience configuring and administering Okta Identity Cloud, including SSO, MFA, Okta API, and lifecycle management.

• Ability to communicate (writing, speaking and presentation) effectively and consistently with clarity and thoroughness to optimize audience understanding.

• 3 + years of IAM experience.

• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and influence senior level management and stakeholders.

• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities with focus on automating manual identity management tasks.

• Ability to develop and clearly articulate risk reports/issues to key business partners.
