INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned ICSS Specialist to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The ICSS Specialist is responsible for specialist maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration, testing, backup/restore, and integration of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems. The role ensures system reliability, availability, configuration integrity, and compliance with approved change-control and MOC procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist support, troubleshooting and diagnostics for Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
- Maintain ControlLogix/CompactLogix/MicroLogix PLCs, I/O, industrial Ethernet, redundant networks and communication interfaces.
- Perform approved PLC/HMI logic, graphics, alarms, interlocks and configuration modifications under MOC/change control.
- Manage system backups, restoration, software versions and configuration baselines.
- Support hardware replacement, upgrades, migrations, commissioning and system recovery.
- Execute FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional and post-maintenance testing.
- Verify interfaces with DCS, SIS, F&G, SCADA, historian, drives and third-party systems.
- Conduct RCA, fault resolution and reliability improvements for recurring system failures.
- Maintain configuration integrity and protect application programs and backups from unauthorized changes.
- Coordinate with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley OEMs and specialist vendors for complex issues and upgrades.
- Maintain test records, change documentation, failure reports, backups and CMMS close-out.
- Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, HSE, cybersecurity, MOC and approved change-control procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related discipline; equivalent specialist qualification may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial facilities, including at least 5 years in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC speciality.
- Advanced experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, HMI/SCADA and industrial Ethernet.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, diagnostics, I/O, redundancy, communications and system recovery.
- Experience with logic modifications, HMI configuration, alarms, interlocks and controlled software changes.
- Proven experience in backup/restore, configuration management and software baseline control.
- Experience in FAT/SAT, commissioning, loop checking and functional testing.
- Knowledge of integration with DCS, SIS, F&G, SCADA, historian and third-party systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, RCA and reliability improvement capabilities.
- Good understanding of MOC, change control, cybersecurity and control-system integrity.
- Rockwell/Allen-Bradley OEM training or certification is highly desirable.
- Strong technical documentation, communication and coordination skills.
