Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Ground Electrical IPT Sr. Manager 3. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT and will support the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Sustainment program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:
Responsible for managing all interaction with the AFNWC/NMSE customer on the basic GSSC contract for Weapon System (WS) Sustainment, and Sustainment Tasks Orders, and all future Task Orders related to the Ground Electrical Subsystems of MM III nuclear WS. The position requires daily interaction with AFNWC/NMSE Electrical Branch Managers, NG management and business personnel to manage current and future contract work. Additionally, the position is responsible for the identification and development of new opportunities where the GSSC organization can provide cost effective, winning solutions.
Lead a diverse team of 70 plus engineers and professional support staff performing project development, technical requirements review, system support, planning and sustainment for a diverse set of products in the missile, air and space domains. Leads all sustainment engineering actions and all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of GSSC’s Electrical IPT sustainment actions. The individual participates in the identification of needs for additional Task Orders, material and service requirements to support electrical systems, outside service’s needs, negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
Responsible for the strategic implementation of skills and labor mix; employee development; mentoring; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations to ensure successful task completion and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities also include horizontal integration of best practices across the organization; maintaining cognizance over technical activities; and ensuring execution of the GSSC Task Orders Performance Work Statements and baselines.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with Master's degree
A minimum of 3 years of experience leading people and managing cost, schedule, and technical performance within an EVMS framework.
Experience as an Engineering or Program Management Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) degree and Project Management Professional PMP certification.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a formal management position.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as an IPT (Integrated Program Team) lead or CAM (Control Account Manager).
Proven ability to make sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations.
Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, hardware, etc.).
Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through mentoring and guiding teams, understanding internal processes, and managing customer/supplier relationships.
Experience working closely with customers to ensure delivery of systems that meet needs.
Prior experience with ICBM support contracts.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, and the ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.
