Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient IBM SFTP Engineer to manage, support,
and enhance our secure file transfer infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on
experience with IBM SFTP solutions and a deep understanding of secure data exchange protocols,
configurations, and compliance standards.
This role is critical to ensuring the secure, reliable, and timely transmission of business-critical data
across internal systems and external partners.

Responsibilities
• Configure, deploy, and maintain IBM SFTP environments to support secure and reliable file transfers.
• Manage onboarding and configuration of internal and external partners for automated data
exchange.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve SFTP transfer issues, including connectivity, authentication, and
permissions.
• Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to ensure seamless and secure data
integration.
• Implement and manage SSH key-based authentication, encryption standards, and secure file access
policies.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation for SFTP configurations, onboarding procedures, and
partner setups.
• Support automation of SFTP workflows using shell scripting (Bash, Korn) or integration with
middleware tools.
• Apply best practices in system hardening and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) to maintain data
integrity and privacy.
• Participate in incident management, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long-term
solutions.
• Understand and manage firewall rules, network ports, and routing as they pertain to secure file
transfer.
• Work in Unix/Linux environments with hands-on experience managing enterprise-level SFTP
solutions
