Details of the Division and Team:
The candidate will be responsible for marketing and execution of new solutions trades across DB’s institutional and corporate client base in South Asia with a focus on India. The individual will cover clients together with sales and work together with trading and other internal stakeholders to design and execute solutions tailored to the client’s specific problem statement. The candidate should have a robust understanding of client’s underlying business activity and capital structure, their objectives and constraints, experience in structuring and mitigating financial and non-financial risks, a strong grip on derivative legal documentation, very strong interpersonal skills and a robust work ethic. The role is client facing, and requires the ability to relay complex and nuanced ideas in a simple and intuitive way, and also travel to see clients

Your key responsibilities:
Together with sales cover institutional and corporate clients across South Asia with a focus on India
Understand and address clients’ specific objectives and constraints: make use of the acquired knowledge to answer clients’ queries and offer solutions in accordance with the clients’ objectives and constraints
Lead complex transactions from start to finish, collaborating with legal on documentation, collaborating with trading on risk management, obtaining product approvals from stakeholders such as risk, product control etc and ultimately conclude the execution of these deals
New product development together with internal stakeholders such as trading, legal & compliance
Review the applicable regulatory context for transactions, either on the client side or the internal DB side. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory bodies, as well as follow DB internal policies for internal review and approvals for transactions. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Identify and assess the various risks inherent to specific client transactions (market risks, credit risk, legal & compliance, operational risk).
Cultivate relationships with all internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication with clients and ensure we are delivering the full suite of solutions
Drive macro dialogue, highlighting opportunity across sales force
Guide juniors on the structuring team
Your skills and experience:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in macro derivatives structuring & sales
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background with experience in leading and closing macro derivative transactions across FX, rates and emerging markets
Practical knowledge of market regulations and documentation
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
A strong growth mindset, with experience originating business and expanding an existing client base
The ideal candidate will be both a problem solver who is able to use their knowledge to find constructive solutions and a client-facing person able to support coverage in direct engagement
Demonstrate excellent soft skills including deal communications and strong team play
