The Team You Will Join
MetLife is seeking a skilled IAM professional to design, implement, and optimize identity solutions that safeguard our global enterprise. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant identity services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute MetLife's IAM strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with security and business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating IAM concepts into business outcomes and influencing decision-making.
- Lead design and implementation of IAM technologies, ensuring integration with enterprise systems and adherence to best practices.
- Oversee team development, talent engagement, and performance management while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide expert guidance on IAM principles and mentor team members.
- Communicate status updates, metrics, and progress to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, Operations teams, and security experts to deliver secure and scalable identity solutions.
- Engage in requirements gathering and participate in architecture and process design reviews to ensure IAM principles and business objectives are effectively integrated.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Security, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management.
- Strong understanding of IAM principles: Least-privilege, Separation of Duties, and RBAC/ABAC.
- Ability to understand and apply both basic and advanced IAM technologies, including architecture-level knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of SailPoint concepts and best practices.
- Ability to communicate security-related concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of enterprise security concepts and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, NIST).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project coordination.
- Familiarity with Cloud IAM solutions (Entra ID (Azure), AWS, GCP).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer/Architect, CyberArk Defender/Trustee/Guardian, Microsoft Certifications)
- Ability to produce status reports, metrics, and analysis for executive stakeholders.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams.

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $158,400. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
