Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Power Unit Fitter to join our dynamic team based in Kings Park. This is a critical role responsible for the end-to-end fabrication and assembly of hydraulic power units, working closely with Engineering and Workshop teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
In this role, you will draw on your technical expertise in welding, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assembly to support production demands while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
Fabricating and assembling hydraulic power units from engineering documentation
Performing welding (MIG and TIG), oxy cutting, and using machinery such as lathes and mills
Bending and fabricating pipes and tubes as required
Working with electricians to support electrical integration on power units
Identifying safety, quality, or process issues and suggesting improvements
Managing time effectively across multiple tasks to meet production targets
Maintaining equipment and advising when calibration or servicing is required
Communicating any job issues to ensure timely resolution and minimise delays
- Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Strong experience in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, oxy-fuel cutting, and machining on lathe and mill.
- Experience in bending tubes, fabricating pipes, and assembling hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members.
- Knowledge of calibration processes and equipment maintenance.
- Proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
