Salary Range

$23.03-$32.24/hour

Compensation is determined by several factors, including location, relevant experience, skill level, and internal equity.  Please note, we don’t typically hire above midpoint.

Job Description

The Human Resource Specialist supports HR functions for a high-performing operation and reports to the Regional Manager of Human Resources.  This position interfaces with station leadership in support of team members in areas related to attendance reliability, employee relations, labor relations and other HR functions. The HR Specialist delivers a high level of customer service to our Team Members by modeling McGee Air Services’ core values. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding documents and conversations involving team members, human resource matters, and all company confidential information. 
  • Assist Team Members with any questions and escalate to the correct department, if needed. 
  • Assist with timely and thorough station level employee relations investigations. 
  • Support time & attendance reliability accountability and reliability efforts including preparation of documents related to coaching and discipline. 
  • Assist with station HR projects, including open enrollment, training, etc. 
  • Maintain open and honest communication that creates an inclusive, engaging and high-performance culture that demonstrates McGee’s values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability and Pride. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support McGee’s successful business operation. 

Qualifications

Required 

  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies and procedures, including collective bargaining provisions. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). 
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to address multiple issues while adhering to schedules and deadlines while completing thorough and accurate records. 
  • Ability to effectively solve problems and determine win-win solutions. 
  • Ability to work independently with high initiative and flexibility. 
  • Positive, team-oriented, and adaptable to dynamic environment with flexibility to assist with special projects. 
  • Ability to obtain & maintain an airport SIDA badge. 
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. 
  • Ability to influence others, work cross-functionally, and contribute positively to a team-oriented, safety-first culture. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 
  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources 
  • Aviation, Transportation, or related industry experience.
