Human Resources, Specialist-Recruiting

POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary purpose the Human Resources Recruiting Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

1.  Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.

1.  Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.  Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.  Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with supervisors, manager and others as appropriate. Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.

1.  Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies Checks candidates’ references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and/or experience

Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods through-out the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds on occasion.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
