The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Human Resources Representative to join our team! The Human Resources Representative administers the employee accommodation programs and coordinates ongoing HR compliance activities to support consistent, timely, and compliant HR practices. This position manages the accommodation process, coordinates workforce compliance programs, maintains HR procedures and compliance calendars, and partners across HR to monitor and support completion of organizational compliance requirements.
Your role in action:
- Coordinate requests for reasonable accommodation under ADA, PWFA, and religious accommodations.
- Serves as the primary administrative point of contact for employees throughout the accommodation process.
- Facilitates the interactive process by gathering relevant information from employees, managers, healthcare providers, and other appropriate stakeholders.
- Obtain, review, organize, and maintain supporting medical or other documentation necessary to evaluate accommodations requests.
- Review documentation for completeness and obtain clarification or additional information when appropriate and authorized.
- Track accommodations requests, case status, deadlines, approvals, denials, extensions, and follow-up requirements.
- Maintain confidential accommodation records separately and in accordance with established privacy and records-retention requirements.
- Coordinate Accommodation Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparations, case materials, and required documentation.
- Prepare objective case summaries and supporting information for committee review.
- Present accommodation requests and relevant documentation to the committee in accordance with established procedures.
- Document Committee decisions and required follow-up actions.
- Draft accommodation determination letters and other accommodation correspondence based on approved committee decisions.
- Communicate approved accommodations and implementation requirements to appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitor approved accommodations for designated review dates, expiration dates, or changes requiring continued interactive dialogue.
- Partner with Total Rewards to coordinate cases involving leave, disability, return-to-work restrictions, and potential accommodation needs.
- Facilitate defined handoffs between leave administration and the accommodation process.
- Review return-to-work restrictions for potential accommodation considerations and initiate the interactive process when appropriate.
- Coordinate with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and Total Rewards regarding accommodation implementation and return-to-work requirements.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of accommodation-related return-to-work activities.
- Coordinate organization-wide HR policy acknowledgments, certifications, questionnaires, and other recurring compliance campaigns.
- Administer the annual Outside Practice Questionnaire and other assigned HR compliance attestations.
- Monitor completion status and provide recurring reports identifying outstanding requirements.
- Communicate reminders and follow up with employees and leaders regarding incomplete requirements.
- Escalate outstanding compliance requirements according to established procedures.
- Maintain documentation demonstrating organizational completion of assigned compliance activities.
- Coordinate the development, documentation, maintenance, and periodic review of HR standard operating procedures (SOP’s), workflows, process maps, and related operational documentation.
- Partner with HR functional areas to document current processes and establish standardized workflows.
- Maintain an organized repository of current HR SOP’s and process documentation. Track review dates, revisions, approvals and version history.
- Assist HR functional areas with identifying process gaps and documenting appropriate controls.
- Ensure approved procedural changes are incorporated into applicable SOP’s and workflows.
- Develop and maintain a centralized HR compliance calendar identifying recurring federal, state, regulatory, contractual, and organizational HR requirements.

What qualifications do you need:
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of HR accommodations, compliance, leave administration, employee relations, or related experience.
- Experience coordinating confidential employee matters and maintaining sensitive documentation.
- Experience managing multi cases, projects, or compliance-related deadlines.
- Experience administering ADA, PWFA, religious accommodations or other workplace accommodations processes.
- Experience supporting compliance programs in healthcare, behavioral health, or other regulated environments.
- Experience with HRID, case-management. Learning-management, or electronic records systems.
