The Human Resources Manager serves as the primary on-site HR resource for employees and leaders at our Sarasota facility, providing day-to-day HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. The role is responsible for employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, employee lifecycle processes, and implementation of HR programs, while partnering with the broader HR team to support consistent practices across Pilatus Aircraft USA. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day HR guidance and support for Sarasota employees and leaders on company policies, employee relations, performance management, and employee lifecycle matters
  • Management of employee relations concerns, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes within established policies and authority, including documentation, recommendations, and escalation of complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters
  • Guidance to managers on performance expectations, coaching, documentation, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and employee development
  • Coordination of employee accommodations and leave matters in partnership with HR Operations and other appropriate stakeholders
  • Application of company policies and employment requirements, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO, in coordination with HR Compliance and other appropriate stakeholders
  • Ownership of employee lifecycle processes from preboarding and onboarding through offboarding, including employee changes, transfers, promotions, separations, and related processes
  • Support of Sarasota recruitment activities in partnership with the Recruiting team, including staffing needs, interviews, candidate evaluations, and local recruiting activities
  • Support of compensation, benefits, performance management, employee engagement, recognition, and development programs in coordination with HR colleagues and business leaders
  • HR support for organizational changes, workforce planning, and restructuring initiatives, including implementation, employee communication, and stakeholder coordination
  • Maintenance of accurate employee records and HRIS information, preparation and analysis of workforce data and reports, and support of HR projects, policy updates, and process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including independent responsibility for a broad range of HR generalist functions
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and advising managers on workplace investigations, performance concerns, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
  • Broad HR experience across employee lifecycle processes, accommodations and leave, compensation and benefits, recruiting coordination, performance management, and HR program implementation
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO
  • Experience supporting employees and managers in an operational, manufacturing, aviation, or similarly complex work environment preferred
  • Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications; Paylocity experience preferred
  • Strong judgment, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to independently manage competing priorities and handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to build effective relationships with operational leaders, employees, and HR colleagues and effectively address difficult or sensitive workplace situations
  • Ability to work on-site at the Sarasota, FL facility five (5) days per week and travel to other Pilatus USA locations as required

What We Offer
  • 11 paid holidays a year, plus 15 days of paid vacation time, and 6 days of paid sick/personal time to start with an increase to 20 days of paid vacation time after 5 years with Pilatus

The hiring range is $100,000 - $115,000 per year. This range represents Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd.’s estimate of the compensation reasonably expected for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant skills and experience, education, job location, internal equity, market data, and business considerations. The hiring range may be modified in the future based on business or market conditions. Any bonus, incentive compensation, benefits, or other forms of compensation are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans, programs, and policies and may be modified in accordance with applicable law.
