JOB TITLE: Human Resources Manager

STATUS: Full Time, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Human Resources


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the human resources activities for their assigned locations. This individual must have strong foundational skills in HR, high proficiency with various HR software and HRIS systems, and demonstrate a broad knowledge base of general HR, payroll, and labor law functions and manage the needs of a growing organization.


QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Must be 18 years or older to apply for this position.

2. Successful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check as well as any other state, federal or company required background/record check.

3. Education Requirement: Associates degree from accredited college in Human Resources, business management or related field.

4. Experience Requirement: 2+ years experience in HR

5. Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit for long periods of time, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 10 lbs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  1. Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment, including telephones, computers, copy machines, fax machines, calculators, scanners, and shredders, and the use of computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and G Suite products.

  2. Ability to maintain professional, constructive, and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time, while performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Ability to collaborate within a team, with staff, and with all  levels of leadership.

  3. Ability to speak English to communicate verbally and in writing professionally and respectfully to convey essential information; must be able to utilize the proper linguistic syntax and spelling.

  4. Ability to maintain integrity, self-control, and confidentiality when working with others, while being dependable and cooperative.

  5. Ability to motivate, develop and direct others as they work.

  9. Knowledge of principles and procedures related to human resources, including recruitment, selection, training compensation and benefits, employee/employer relations, and HRIS systems. 

  10. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in the strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources. 

  11. Knowledge on the laws, legal codes, government regulations, rules and orders that pertain to HR.

  12. Knowledge of the clinical, medical, licensing requirements, and miscellaneous services provided to the clients or related to the business.

  13. Possess organizational skills, has attention to detail, and excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  14. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, clinical methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  15. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of satisfaction for employees and leadership members.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resources Manager will be assigned projects, based on his/her level of expertise, that include any, or all the following job responsibilities. The individual may also be assigned other duties as needed by their supervisor.


  1. Manage the processes in the HR department for assigned locations, including pre-hire processes, onboarding, benefits, compensation, job descriptions, performance management, employer/employee relations and investigations, terminations, leaves of absences, provide employees and leadership with information related to policy/HR laws/regulations and ensure HR policies are applied consistently, and provide support and training to HR department staff.

  2. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

  3. Provides support and guidance to HR staff, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations

  4. Oversee and assist with new employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.

  5. Assist employees and leadership with information related to various HR topics such as leaves, benefits, investigations, grievances, and/or resolve any issues that may arise.

  6. Assist in development and implementation of Human Resource policies, and ensure the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

  7. Oversee and maintain HR systems and processes, including the Master HR spreadsheets, HR documents in the HRIS system, or other data to ensure proper document control in the HR department. 

  8. Assist with and/or distribute employee annual performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.

  9. Oversee the maintenance of employee files and records in the HRIS platform.

  10. Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations, and that the pay scales are aligned with the job descriptions.

Skills Required

  • Must be 18 years or older
