Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to Freudenberg Medical leadership by aligning Human Resources strategies, programs, and initiatives with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Partner with site and divisional leadership to implement enterprise Human Resources strategies, including talent acquisition, total rewards, talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management.
  • Drive and execute Human Resources strategies that support current and future business needs through effective workforce planning, talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee and labor relations, conflict resolution, organizational design, and workplace investigations while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Lead the performance management process to drive accountability, development, succession planning, and high performance across the organization.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs while supporting market competitiveness, internal equity, and pay-for-performance principles.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and Human Resources best practices while driving governance, standardization, and continuous improvement across Human Resources processes.
  • Ensure the integrity of Human Resources data through routine audits, reporting, and analytics, providing leaders with actionable workforce insights and key metrics to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • Professional HR certification is preferred. 
  • 7 – 10 years' experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility as a HR Manager and or Business Partner with strong understanding of Costa Rica legal requirements. 
  • 5+ years’ minimum experience managing projects and programs, experience using proven project management and change management principles. 
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics. 
  • Familiar with and comfortable using HRIS software such as Workday/ ADP/ SAP

Required Skills / Abilities: 

  • Ability to develop reputation as someone sought out for their opinion and advice and who can forge and maintain close relationships across all constituencies. 
  • Self-motivated; bias for action. 
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to dissect complex problems and make informed decisions by evaluating several different sources of information objectively. Strong ability to analyze, be creative, problem solve and empathize. 
  • Experience with driving employee engagement and positive employee relations with all levels of employees. 
  • Effective active listening, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working across a complex organizational matrix and with all levels in the organization.  
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices. 
  • Strong professional maturity / judgment and accustomed to dealing with confidential situations. 
  • Experience in manufacturing, supporting operations as an HR professional.

Preferred: 

  • Bilingual – Spanish 
  • Manufacturing, shop-floor experience
