You will take ownership of day-to-day absence administration while contributing to a broad range of HR activities, including employee communication, engagement events, training, recruitment and HR projects. As your confidence grows, you may also lead selected initiatives from idea to implementation and, if you are interested, gain exposure to payroll preparation.
This internship is designed as a genuine learning experience: you will work closely with an experienced and collaborative HR team, interact with employees and managers, and see how HR supports both people and the business.
Key responsibilities
· Track and follow up on employee absences, including sickness, parental and maternity leave, holidays, business trips, training and other leave types.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data in the relevant systems and trackers, and complete routine data entry activities on time.
· Collect, check and file employee documents, ensuring records are complete, well organized and handled confidentially.
· Respond to day-to-day employee questions, provide guidance on HR processes and escalate sensitive matters when required.
· Draft employee communications, practical guides, presentations and intranet content, and support their review, formatting and publication.
· Help organize employee events and engagement initiatives, coordinating communications, suppliers and on-site logistics.
· Support training activities, including registrations, coordination with employees, managers and providers, session logistics, attendance records and follow-up documentation.
· Support recruitment and onboarding by preparing job postings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates and interviewers, and welcoming new hires.
· Contribute to HR projects, process improvements and digitalization initiatives; depending on scope and readiness, independently lead selected projects.
· The scope of the internship may evolve over time based on business needs as well as the intern’s skills, interests, initiative and readiness to take on new challenges.
What we’re looking for
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Communication or a related field.
· Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage recurring administrative activities accurately and meet deadlines.
· Curious, proactive and comfortable suggesting ideas, improving ways of working and taking ownership of tasks.
· Interpersonal and written communication skills, with an interest in supporting employees and working as part of a team.
· Able to handle personal information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
· Comfortable using Microsoft Office; good Excel and PowerPoint skills are an advantage.
· Fluent in English; French or German is an advantage. Any additional language is welcome.
· Previous HR experience is not required—we are looking above all for motivation, reliability and the willingness to learn.
What you will gain
· Practical experience across HR operations, employee engagement, learning and recruitment—not just observation.
· Real responsibility, regular feedback and the opportunity to develop project ownership.
Exposure to an international business and a broad understanding of how an HR team operates day to day.
