The sky is no longer the limit as Nidec takes its technology off the ground and into the Aerospace market. As a Human Resources Generalist with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity help grow the team and nurture the team that will design and manufacture electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B. 
 
Nidec is the world’s leading electric motor manufacturer and a true pioneer in electrification across a wide array of industries since its foundation in 1973, ranging from appliance, and energy infrastructure, to ground transportation. Nidec Aerospace is a newly created Joint Venture between Nidec and Embraer which intends to take a leading role in the Electrification of Aircrafts. Job Description 

Nidec Aerospace is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team, in one of our aircraft motor manufacturing plants. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and supporting the plant’s workforce. In addition to plant-related HR responsibilities, the HR generalist will also handle select administrative activities as directed by the HR manager at the corporate headquarters, offering an opportunity for broader organization involvement  This role requires a hands-on approach, addressing day-to-day HR needs, employee relations, recruitment, and the administration of HR programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

 

The individual is responsible for  

  •  Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes. Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all new employees. 

 

  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, including OSHA and other labor-related requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. 

 

  • Employee Engagement: Help develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive workplace culture. Assist in organizing team-building activities, recognition programs, and company events. 

 

  • Compensation & Benefits Administration: Provide support with benefits enrollment, employee compensation questions, and administration of leaves of absence. Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee pay and benefits. 

 

  • Performance Management: Support managers with the employee performance appraisal process, providing tools, training, and guidance to ensure consistent and fair evaluations. 

 

  • Training & Development: Identify employee training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs. Promote career development opportunities within the organization. 

 

  • Health & Safety: Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and promote a culture of safety. Assist with incident investigations and improvement actions follow up when necessary. 

 

  • Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, and work with management to address issues related to morale, discipline, and conflict resolution in a fair and consistent manner. 

 

  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, handle HR-related documentation, and generate reports as needed. Utilize HRIS systems for tracking, reporting, and analytics. 

 

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the HR function and participate in the implementation of new initiatives or policies to improve HR service delivery. 

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Fluent in English.

  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. 

  • Proficiency in Tress, Workday systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. 

  • Experience in a unionized environment.
