Purpose and Scope: 

The Human Resources Generalist will perform a variety of professional/administration Human Resources (HR) functions in areas such as employment, benefits training and development or employee relations for the company. Provide effective HR support ensuring all employees are paid correctly, on time and that all related HR matters are dealt with promptly.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and handle day the day-to-day HR functional tasks for the program.
  • Follow established guidelines in performing routine day-to-day tasks.
  • Copy and distribute various reports and documentation.
  • Respond to employee requests, complaints, and Hotline calls, as required.
  • Responsible for the new hire orientation and onboarding of new employees
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Time & Labor and other HR partners to resolve employees pay and benefits problems.
  • Provide guidance to various levels of employees regarding company policies and procedures for assigned Human Resources function.
  • Distribute and update information pertaining to assigned HR function.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and other company practices and management directives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Minimum Three (3) to Five (5) years of business experience preferable within human resources field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline, desirable.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to conduct and capture information from an employee relations investigation.
  • Experience in working in a customer oriented professional environment.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems; Workday preferred.
  • Willingness to work overseas for one year or more.
  • Knowledge of Workday or other Human Resource Information System.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision and work well under pressure.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
