The Human Resource Generalist will work with the Director of Human Resources to run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department with primary focus being hiring and interviewing.  In addition will manage aspects of our PEO and will assist in enforcing company policies and practices.


RequirementsDuties/Responsibilities:
  • Superstar Recruiter with deep industry connections who has built a strong, continuously replenished bench of exceptional talent. Proactively recruits, cold-sources, interviews, and develops relationships with high-caliber candidates - even when there are no immediate openings - so the company always has qualified talent ready to step in when an employee underperforms, leaves, or a new opportunity arises. Partners closely with departmental leaders to understand the skills, competencies, leadership qualities, and cultural fit required for each position, ensuring we are never without strong options for critical roles.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Implements new hire orientation and helps coordinate employee recognition programs including but not limited to gathering submissions for quarterly newsletter, birthday and anniversary cards, organizing team building activities.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR or Director of Payroll for further review.
  • Assists the Director of HR and participates in employee progressive discipline process
  • Maintains knowledge of hiring trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources and talent management. Claude experience a plus!
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. (ADP Workforce Now, Workable)
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 2 year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • On site, 5 days, smiles naturally
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Skills Required
