Human Resources Generalist

Salary: $90,000-$130,000

In-Depth Engineering seeks an HR Specialist to join our growing company. The candidate must be an organized, self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of multi-tasking responsibilities crucial to our organization's success. The Human Resources Generalist works on a team of HR professionals, each of whom supports a set of supervisors and staff across a broad spectrum of HR and program related areas.

 

We seek self-starters capable of independent effort as well as participation on a small team.   

  

This is a permanent, full-time position and the work will be performed on-site in Columbia, Maryland with periodic travel to office in Fairfax, VA.

 

Candidates for consideration must be a US citizen and be able to obtain an active Department of Defense secret clearance. 

  

Duties: 

  • Performs Talent Acquisition: posting jobs, resume review, phone screening, interviews, maintaining records, onboarding.
  • Responsible for lifecycle management of staff executing a set of HR processes; performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, corporate ethics
  • Executes employee benefits administration and annual healthcare enrollment
  • Recommendations and decisions on employee retention
  • Training Process Management; tracking, presenting and conducting surveys for subset of corporate processes
  • Executes Vets4212, EE0-1, ACA reporting and 401(k) annual audit

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar relevant degree
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience working in HR? 
  • Experienced recruiter with strong understanding of candidate to hire execution
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and independent worker
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Pleasant, tactful and professional demeanor and appearance
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiar with Human Capital Systems
  • HR experience in a DoD/Navy environment
  • Supervisory experience
