Summary of position:
The Human Resources Generalist owns full-cycle recruiting for non-exempt positions and partners with leaders on workforce planning, retention, employee engagement, performance management, HR programs, and compliance. This role strengthens the employee experience and supports company goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for non-exempt positions and support recruiting for exempt positions. Maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system and coordinate a positive candidate experience from screening through offer.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to identify staffing needs and define job duties, qualifications, and required skills. Prepare and maintain accurate job descriptions.
  • Source qualified candidates through professional networks, job boards, social media, and other creative channels. Stay current on recruiting practices and recommend new approaches to reach candidates with needed skills.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with high schools, technical schools, universities, alumni organizations and community organizations, to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Partner with supervisors and employees to identify retention opportunities and support actions that improve the employee experience.
  • Oversee the production employee performance review process to promote effectiveness, compliance, and equitable application across the organization.
  • Research and support the implementation of HR initiatives and practical solutions that advance company goals.
  • Respond to employee and leader inquiries about HR policies, procedures, and programs, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Assists in coordinating company-sponsored functions, including community and colleague activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and government reporting requirements affecting human resources. Help ensure company policies, procedures, and reporting practices remain compliant.
  • Partner across the organization to reinforce workplace culture, values, and performance expectations.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, plus human resources experience—preferably in manufacturing—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize competing priorities, manage projects, and deliver results within established timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, sound reasoning, and good judgment.
  • Working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and related administrative processes.
  • Positive interpersonal skills that build respect, trust, confidence and credibility.
  • Ability to adapt priorities and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills including writing, listening, or speaking.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
