✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an HR Generalist at South Florida Youth Academy in Miami, FL✨

South Florida Youth Academy is composed of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk male youth aged 14 to 18 who require behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, and major disorder services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program. 

Pay: $45,000 annually.

What you will do: The Human Resources Generalist is primarily responsible for the oversight of all Human Resources functions for the site to ensure that the Human Resources goals and objectives are met. The Human Resources Generalist reports to the site Program Director and the District Human Resources Director. 

To be considered, you should:

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field and two years of Human Resources experience; or six years of equivalent experience as a Human Resources Generalist may be substituted. Master’s degree, certification and/or PHR are preferred.

Minimum of two years of human resources experience in employee relations, training and/or employment.

 Knowledge of Federal and State employment law, Human Resources policies and practices and governmental licensing requirements.

Successful management experience preferred.

 Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.

  Be able to pass a criminal background check, child abuse registry, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule:  Five days on/two days off
